The Shopping List {nail polish}

Leading up to the wedding I had a number of occasions to indulge in a mani/pedi treatment.  I took full advantage.  Now that Alan is home (he was deployed for four months of our engagement) and our finances are mostly combined, it's time to pull in the credit card.  Or at least save it for dresses and purses.

Recently, I've painted my nails a few times with results better than I would have thought possible.  Maybe patience really is a virtue and the manifesting results are better non-dominant-hand nails.  Whatever the reason, it's working and I took a shopping trip this week to Sephora for new nail polish as a treat.

The Shopping List {calculator}

Yup, this week a financial calculator was on my shopping list and tonight I had to shell out $92 for this ugly but hopefully, grade-saving financial calculator.

For those of you who don't know me personally, my profession is insurance underwriting and I am currently working on my Masters of Science in Insurance Management through BU.  Hopefully I can maintain my sanity (and my hair color) over the next year and finish the program.  It's an ugly road littered with highlighters and geriatric looking calculators like this one but I hope to see the end of it.

For any of you also working full time, enrolled in a masters or MBA program, with words of wisdom, please dish.  I'm often surprised my husband puts up with my worrying and anxiety-filled antics so I'm curious how others maintain a work-life balance.  Is there really one to be had?  

The Shopping List {aveeno}

For year I dealt with eczema.  I had frustrating patches of it on my arms and even on the sides of my thighs.  Drove me crazy.  Aveeno is hands down the best lotion for me and the reason it is on my shopping list.  I never thought I'd have smooth skin, but thanks to Aveeno, I do.
