celebrations!

This week I've been posting {here and here} about fun birthday celebrations in NYC.  Now it's time for the most recent celebration!!  Friday night we dined on fantastic mussels and pasta at Bianca.  Meaghen could not have picked a better place to start off the weekend.  The restaurant was inviting, warm, and I loved the exposed brick walls.  

After dinner, we headed to a bar across the street.  Establishments with hidden rooms are always more exciting.  Then add unusual specialty drinks that incorporate jams and, well, that's an attention getter alright.  Here are some fun snaps from the night!

A look back in time {part 2}

A pirate theme, a boat, lots of drinks, and red velvet cupcakes.   At 11 am we annexed a boat in the Hudson.  By 1 pm we were sweaty, boozy, and officially the sexiest pirates in New York waters.  We lasted more than 10 hours on the water; we were triumphant.  Here is a look back.

A look back in time {NYC}

This past weekend I had yet another fabulous time in NYC celebrating the birthday of one of my best friends.  Before I post pictures from our marathon bar crawl, I figured it would be fun to take a look back at the last two years of birthday celebration.

First up, is Meaghen's birthday from 2009.  The night of sushi and martinis.  Ging has been the go-to sushi place for our group ever since Meag moved to her apartment on 85th.  Their BYOB policy and the deliciously gorgeous sushi made Ging the perfect place to start our evening.  We overtook the restaurant that night.  I'm certain the wait staff was not prepared for the noise volume we created.
